Open Letter to Osceola Magazine Subscribers Announcing New Format

Dear Osceola Subscribers,

Over the last 30 years, Florida State athletics has undergone some significant changes. In 1981, the football team was just starting to come into its own under Bobby Bowden and has since gone on to claim two national championships and produce two Heisman Trophy winners. Similarly, the basketball team has evolved into one of the top teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference and sealed its national significance with a Sweet 16 run just a few months ago.

Likewise, The Osceola, which has been there for our loyal subscribers over those same 30 years, has undergone its own dramatic changes. From our initial issue that recapped the 1981 Garnet & Gold game, to today where we now have The Osceola magazine with digital editions to go along with our website But that is nothing compared to what is in store.

Starting in August, we will offer our readers a better product, delivered in a more efficient manner and, best of all, more frequently with more Florida State athletics coverage than ever before, exclusively for our subscribers!

Changes to The Osceola magazine

We will continue to publish and mail a printed magazine, but with substantial changes. The new Osceola magazine, which debuts in August, will convert to a brilliant full-color, glossy magazine very similar in makeup to Sports Illustrated ®. The glossy Osceola magazine will be published 12 times a year and will include information that is far less time sensitive, allowing us to focus more on in-depth features, analysis and commentary. By doing this, we can provide you with a magazine that is not out of date when it arrives in your mailbox.

Introducing Osceola Express

In addition to the glossy magazine, beginning in August we will also provide you with a new full-color, reader-friendly digital magazine available exclusively to our subscribers over the Internet. During football season, Osceola Express will preview FSU's next game with stats, analysis and the all-important coach's comments from the early week press conference. Osceola Express will continue throughout the year with the latest updates on basketball, spring football and recruiting. Osceola subscribers will be notified via email when the latest Osceola Express is ready. So don't forget to provide us with your email address! You can register for Osceola Express at: Register for e-Edition/Express.

Our improvements to The Osceola print magazine and our new digital magazine provide the best of both worlds. Osceola subscribers get a vastly improved glossy print magazine and an up-to-the-minute digital magazine for more Florida State sports coverage than ever before ... and all for the same low price of $49.95.
